I engaged Makis to compose the full score for a feature length production based on Shakespeare's Tempest. Since we were in different countries at the time, we corresponded extensively by e-mail over many months. Regular detailed and in-depth discussions were had this way about the film's themes and overall tone. This included numerous exchanges of pre-recorded music as examples of the kinds of styles that might be appropriate.
I felt that despite the potential handicap of a long-distance collaboration, we very quickly got onto the same wavelength. A feeling that was more than substantiated when the first of his dozen compositions were sent to me.
I found Makis to be adept at not only writing, but also recording complex and fully realized cinematic orchestrations. His work gave me an intelligent perspective on the film I was creating, and I can say that it has considerably influenced the developing shape of the film.

Makis passion for music is reflected in his work, classically trained he plays the piano and the guitar with passion and composes music for corporate productions, animations, films, film trailers, advertising and theatre all over Europe.
